Who Are We?
Protein to the People is a Girl Scout Gold Award based non-profit that connects backyard chicken owning neighbors to food banks in their community!
We look to instill within the community passions for:
*Self Sustainability
*Local Needs
*Education
*And the Reality of Chicken-hood
"Why?", One Might Ask:
Interconnectivity and self reliance within communities are the building blocks for stability and support. Individuals and environments grow when we all have a chance to contribute our excess where others are lacking.
And "How"?
Starting in local neighborhoods, chickens owners will team up to transport any extra chicken eggs to local food banks and pantries in their area. Using this website as a home base, chicken owners across the county can share their stories to create a familial community, and schedule their own carpools for their chicken eggs.
